Join us at the Majestic Theatre for this iconic classic filmed in our very own Crested Butte! Snowball Express was filmed in 1972 as a Walt Disney production and is a family-friendly film showcasing the fictional story of John Baxter inheriting a ski resort in the Rocky Mountains, quitting his job in New York and moves west to run it — only to find his “estate” in a state of total dilapidation. When his family decides to fix it up and run it, Martin Ridgeway wants the property and does everything he can to ensure that their efforts will fail. The showing will also include a short presentation by a few local community members that were involved in the making of the film or were present during the filming of this flick, including a Q&A at the end! We are fundraising to make some updates to our ski and snowboard exhibit at the museum during the months of April and May. We are offering a “choose your ticket price” for this event, and to ensure your spot, purchase tickets early!
