GunnisonValleyCalendar.com Offers New Valley-Wide Events Listings

Several area organizations have teamed up to introduce a new regional events calendar known as GunnisonValleyCalendar.com. The goal is to make it easier to share upcoming events in the valley, from Crested Butte to Gunnison, through a single website, instead of having organizations post to multiple calendars. Consider underwriting to expose your event details to a wider listening audience with more frequency at kbut.org/underwriting.
Participants include:
  • KBUT Community Radio,
  • The Crested Butte/Mt. Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce,
  • The Crested Butte Creative District,
  • The Gunnison Country Chamber of Commerce and the
  • Gunnison-Crested Butte Tourism Association.
The Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Calendar website and calendar is generously hosted and supported at no charge by Thin Air Web, serving Crested Butte and beyond since 1998.

Taylor Park Vegetation Management Project Workshop
Add to your calendar
Date: March 11, 4:30 pm-6:30pm
Continues Until:
Location: WCU campus, Kelley Hall, room 151
Details: Please mark your calendar for a public workshop Monday, March 11th, 2019, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m at the Western Colorado University campus. This workshop will be a continuation of the discussion started in early December regarding Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison National Forest Taylor Park Vegetation Management project. The workshop will be held in Kelley Hall room 151. For directions, an interactive campus map can be found here (https://www.western.edu/about/campus-map). If you cannot join us in person, there is an option to participate virtually at http://zoom.us/j/9709432233 or dial-in to +1 (669) 900 - 6833. We will also host a follow-up session on Thursday, March 14th from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. to recap the workshop and provide an opportunity for directed Q&A for those at a distance or anyone who would like to join. We will learn about lodgepole pine forest ecology, silviculture fundamentals, and historical Taylor Park forest management activities. We will also have an overview of the proposed Taylor Park Vegetation Management Project including the purpose, need, and goals. Most importantly, we want to hear from you about what you value in Upper Taylor River Watershed so we hope you can join us.
