Please mark your calendar for a public workshop Monday, March 11th, 2019, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m at the Western Colorado University campus. This workshop will be a continuation of the discussion started in early December regarding Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison National Forest Taylor Park Vegetation Management project. The workshop will be held in Kelley Hall room 151. For directions, an interactive campus map can be found here (https://www.western.edu/about/campus-map). If you cannot join us in person, there is an option to participate virtually at http://zoom.us/j/9709432233 or dial-in to +1 (669) 900 - 6833. We will also host a follow-up session on Thursday, March 14th from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. to recap the workshop and provide an opportunity for directed Q&A for those at a distance or anyone who would like to join. We will learn about lodgepole pine forest ecology, silviculture fundamentals, and historical Taylor Park forest management activities. We will also have an overview of the proposed Taylor Park Vegetation Management Project including the purpose, need, and goals. Most importantly, we want to hear from you about what you value in Upper Taylor River Watershed so we hope you can join us.
