The Crested Butte Museum’s annually-rotating, hands-on kids’ exhibit is getting an update this January! With this exciting new concept, our curator will be encouraging visitors to explore what makes Colorado “colorful” specifically in the Gunnison Valley, and acknowledging the 150th birthday of the state. This interactive display is designed to reach ages 2-12 years of age, but is engaging for guests of all ages. Focusing on local geographical features, nature, our amazing weather, sunsets and the vibrant architecture on Elk Avenue, you can look forward to “Colorful Crested Butte” providing young visitors with tactile learning experiences that enhance their enjoyment and absorption of information related to our local history, community, and environmental surroundings.
