 Holiday-inspired rick and Americana covers. Bill Dowell has been performing in the Gunnison Valley since the 1980s as a solo act, part of several duo acts, and recently as leader of the local band Coal Creek Connection. He plays a wide variety of classic rock and country songs, as well as several original compositions that speak to love, heartbreak, and the inspiring landscape of the Gunnison Valley. His early influences were bands like the Beatles and Rolling Stones, songwriters such as Jackson Browne and Dan Fogelberg, and more recently Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, and the Turnpike Troubadours. You’re sure to hear a familiar song or two at one of his shows, and some that you may have forgotten along the way.
