Join us for a three-part Financial Literacy Series at the Crested Butte Library beginning Tuesday, April 25 at 6pm. This presentation will be led by Mamie Rijks who is excited to combine her background as a teacher and her experience in the banking industry to help others learn about financial literacy. About this session: Knowing the basics about how your bank works will help you protect yourself against fraud. Fraudsters rely on you not knowing what happens when you cash a check or what government agencies want from you to get ahold of your money. This class reviews financial services such as credit cards and checking accounts as well as go over the most common scams that affect people in our community. Session Two on 5/3: Budgeting & Debt Management Session Three on 5/10: Basic Business This event is free and open to the public.
