Details: Hone your backcountry skills at the Crested Butte avalanche Centers annual Beacon Brush Up Sunday, December 4 behind the community school fro 10 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be professionals on hand to provide education and information regarding avalanche rescue techniques and, best of all, it's free. Information can be found at cbavalanchecenter.org.
