Main Gallery: Western Colorado University B.F.A. Exhibition Brain Trash- A Biomythography by Nia Morales Synopsis: This BFA exhibition explores my journey as a non-traditional Graphic Design student and is a culmination of various personal experiences, learned disciplines and multimedia. This series explores the representation of “brain trash” - the accumulating heaps of apprehension, mistrust, and turmoil our brains generate in moments of stress, panic, uncertainty, and fear. This expression is examined in the form of a biomythography - a composition that weaves myth, history, and my own biography as a student initiating a new narrative through an epic collage. Nancy Tredway Gallery: “Special Places” by Sandy Marvin Sandy Marvin is an award-winning Colorado artist who works in the glowing colors of the pastel medium. Her landscapes are done both en plein air and in her studio. Sandy is a frequent visitor to the Gunnison Valley, and this show of landscape paintings features some of her favorite scenes. Along with these are other special places that reflect the diversity of Colorado--from Front Range Open Spaces to southern Colorado Ponderosa forests. Click here for the event website |
