Presented by the Mt. Crested Butte Town Center Community Association, the Live! From Mt. CB free concert series returns for the summer of 2021 with an exciting lineup of amazing musicians. Join the fun every Wednesday between July 28 to September 1 for an evening of free music at the base of Mt. Crested Butte on the Red Lady Stage. 2021 SUMMER LINE-UP July 28, 2021 | Wildermiss | Indie Rock Wildermiss is an indie rock band from Denver, Colorado. Emma Cole sings and plays synth bass, Joshua Hester plays guitar and Caleb Thoemke plays drums. They have sold out all of their hometown headlining shows since 2017 and steadily gained momentum nationwide with multiple support tours and festival spots. The band is currently working on the follow up to their quarantine singles “Supermagical” and “Italy” with plans to tour until their van dies again like it did in Michigan that one time. August 4, 2021 | DJ Logic & Friends featuring Karl Denson, Robert Sput Searight, MonoNeon, and DJ Williams | Supergroup August 11, 2021 | Joshy Soul | Neo Soul August 18, 2021 | The Stone Foxes | Rock & Roll From their youthful days of quad-lead-singer-rock-n-roll to their indie-roots-rock-tour-mania all the way to their brief stint as a Swedish synth-pop collective, the Brothers Koehler (Shannon and Spence) have remained the creative anchors of San Francisco's The Stone Foxes. With the release of their latest EP Gold, it's clear that the hill-folk turned flat-landers have evolved their studio technique from "point the horn at the gut bucket" to a fuller and more sophisticated sound. They've managed to capture and even elevate the unadulterated joy of seeing them live. Even so, one thing remains eternally true of the Stone Foxes; if you die without seeing them live, it will have been a wasted life. August 25, 2021 | Israel Nash | Americana What is the endgame for Nash, a critically acclaimed rock-and-roll groovesman, personally? Nash’s magnificent new album, Topaz, is what happened when he found his answers. Nash recorded the album over the course of about a year in the Quonset hut studio he built about 600 feet from his house in the Texas Hill Country. The resulting Topaz is a triumphant rock-and-roll experiment, full of fat horns, gospel choruses, swagger, hope, and pain. The meaty rock foundation with touches of psychedelia and skylark folk that fans have come to love are still here, now with a soulful heft that nods to Muscle Shoals and Memphis. Political and personal, Topaz is moody and vast, cohesive and compelling. September 1, 2021 | Southern Avenue | Soul Blues Jam Band Abounding with musical creativity, confident songcraft, and deeply felt emotion, BE THE LOVE YOU WANT marks the GRAMMY® nominated, Southern Avenue’s most ingenious and personal effort thus far, marrying soul power and jam band liberation, gospel, blues and righteous R&B, to craft their own timeless brand of American music.
