 The award winning Altius Quartet will be presenting a concert on Saturday, April 6th at 7:00 PM at Kincaid Recital Hall at Western Colorado University. Tickets are $10 for all ages and will be available online at AltiusQuartet.brownpapertickets.com and at the door starting at 6:30 PM. The string quartet is an incredibly versatile ensemble that can play just about any style of music! The Altius Quartet will be performing a recital that is sure to excite and inspire with music from Beethoven to the Beatles. Beginning the program with Beethoven’s enigmatic “Serioso” String Quartet, one has a glimpse into the turmoil Beethoven suffered as he succumbed to his hearing loss. Followed by a medley from the Beatles’ final album “Abbey Road,” the Altius Quartet will perform favorites from the album including: “You Never Give Me Your Money,” “Sun King,” “Carry that Weight”, and “Golden Slumbers.” The program will conclude with Schumann’s sublime String Quartet No. 1 in A minor that truly ends with a bang!
