The local chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is hosting the first Gun Violence Awareness Day Wear Orange event on June 1st. In the wake of all of the school shootings this year we all feel like we need to take action. Here is your chance to show legislators that people care deeply about this issue. This is a national event in which mayors are proclaiming it Gun Violence Awareness Day, towns are decorating their streets in orange, and people are wearing orange to show their support. The Mayor of Crested Butte has made such a proclamation adding Crested Butte to the many cities and towns across the country that are recognizing this as serious issue it is. Stop by Rumors anytime on June 1st and get a 10% discount if you are wearing orange. There will also be information and swag for the event at Rumors throughout the day. Join us and wear orange: both to honor those who have lost their lives and loved ones, and to demand a future free from gun violence. Join our movement—Wear Orange this year. |
