.jpg) The world record elk was shot in Dark Canyon, west of CB in the early 1900s. For many years, the rack/head hung in Tony's Conoco (today's museum) and is still known as its natural home. in 1996 it was moved to the Chamber building down the street. We have been working to get it back for years and it is finally happening. We are throwing a party to celebrate its return. Appetizers and refreshments will also be served.
