-page-001.jpg) Registration is now open for Mountain Roots' winter session of Cooking Matters, a free 6-week course for adults to learn how to prepare and shop for healthy, affordable meals. Cooking Matters is taught by a professional chef and a registered nutritionist. Classes will be held Fridays from 4:00-6:00pm, from March 9th - April 13th, at the Fred Field Center in Gunnison. Qualified participants are those who receive at least one form of government assistance, such as SNAP, WIC, Medicaid, or affordable housing. Free childcare provided.
