 Ground control to Crested Butte Area residents! The telescope has landed! The Crested Butte Library, in partnership with the Gunnison Valley Observatory (GVO), is pleased to offer a telescope and a bag of equipment and guides for you to borrow from the Library. All you need is a Library card and you can check out an Orion Starblast 4.5” telescope, and all you need for your own personal star party, for 7 days. Come learn about the telescopes at one of our public orientation sessions, with local starman, Rob Brown, from GVO on Tuesday, January 30 at 6:30 PM. Training will include how to use the telescope and how to find objects in the night-sky. If weather permits, we’ll practice using the telescope to view objects in the night sky, right from the Library.
