West African Dance Class with Mami Sayon Camara. An intergenerational, Guinean Dance class for all levels and accompanied by live drummers! Beginner friendly. Class includes warm-up, breaking down movement of the African Diaspora and learning Guinean dances & rhythms . Mami is a skilled dynamic teacher excited to share her culture with community. Mami Sayon Camara, a native of Guinea, West Africa teaches traditional dances and rhythms that are inherent in the culture of Guinea. She is an accomplished West African Dance artist and is an integral part of the Kissidugu Ensemble & Foundation. All proceeds from class directly support the Kissidugu Foundation.
