 Opening at ArtWalk Fest: Friday, September 3rd, 5 - 8 pm. Show Dates: September 3 - 24 Main Gallery: “Vanishing Views, Enduring Spirit" Artwork of Audrey Anderson and Rebecca Gorrell Our Gunnison Valley has been continuously changing in population and economic focus since the time of the Utes. For many of us, the changes of the most recent decade have felt wrenching, because they have happened directly to us, and a place we love rather than some abstract "them, somewhere else." Our work in "Vanishing Views" shows some of the scenes and structures which have disappeared, radically changed, or will likely vanish soon from our county. Our goal is to encourage our community to celebrate what endures, to mark the passing of what is fading out, and to be consciously and deeply present in our daily appreciation of what we still have in this place we have chosen as our heart home. Nancy Tredway Gallery: “Portraits of my Friends” by Erin Chicoine. A minimalist portrait approach on the most meditative of my friends. Amidst the chaos that is my life & the wild of the world, I find peaceful advice quietly tucked away in the dirt. A calm pause in time to share simplicity I always cherish.
