Gunnison Valley Calendar Is Your Source for Valley-Wide Events Listings

Gunnison Valley Calendar is a regional one-stop calendar where you can post your organization's events to a shared single website around the Gunnison Valley from Crested Butte to Gunnison.  The goal is to make posting events easy so that you don't have to submit to multiple calendars.  For Public Service Announcements with KBUT Community Radio, please submit your event two weeks in advance.

To expose your event details to a wider listening audience with more frequency, consider Underwriting at kbut.org.
Participants include:
  • KBUT Community Radio,
  • The Crested Butte/Mt. Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce,
  • The Crested Butte Creative District,
  • The Gunnison Country Chamber of Commerce and the
  • Gunnison-Crested Butte Tourism Association.
The Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Calendar website and calendar is generously hosted and supported at no charge by Thin Air Web, serving Crested Butte and beyond since 1998.

Bruce Eckel
Choosing a Programming Technology for Your Startup

Add to your calendar
Date: March 26, 12:00 pm-1:00pm
Continues Until:
Location: ICELab@Western
Details: There are a lot of choices for software development technologies when starting a business that relies on computing technology (and these days, most do)! The impact of these choices include short vs. long-term costs, and sometimes even the viability of your company, so it's important to decide thoughtfully. This session is for people who don't know much about what's out there and would like to begin understanding how to approach the often-messy world of software development -- even if you only think you need a web site. Bruce Eckel (www.MindViewLLC.com) has published 10 books (see Bibliography), numerous blog posts, over 150 articles, and has given hundreds of presentations throughout the world. He was a founding member of the ANSI/ISO C++ committee and was for many years the chair of both the C++ and Java tracks at the Software Development conference. He cofounded the JavaPosse Roundup Conference (now the Winter Tech Forum) and created Evolve Coworking in Crested Butte, CO. He periodically holds Developer Retreats and provides public and private training and consulting in programming languages and software system design. He is currently coauthoring the book Atomic Kotlin
