.png) Each year, our conservation community comes together as summer begins to wind down to celebrate public lands conservation, great company, delicious food, and exceptional live music. This year, we are excited to announce that we will be hosting Chief Meteorologist Mike Nelson of Denver7 as our annual Dinner at the Depot speaker! Mike Nelson, who has been a household name for 40 years, is one of a small-but-growing number of network news meteorologists who are drawing connections between climate change and increasingly intense weather events and temperatures. While some are afraid of pushback from climate deniers, Nelson bravely broaches the subject, frequently emphasizing climate change in his nightly weathercasts and speaking engagements. In addition, we will also have local musical talent, Lizzy Plotkin, to play us some great tunes! So mark your calendars for Sunday, August 25th because this Dinner at the Depot is not to be missed! This is a pot-luck style party -- so bring a dish to share and we will provide the libations and entertainment!
