 Coming up on May 26 ... Mountain Roots' spring benefit concert with the band "NICENESS" -- rooted island reggae with a blend of soul, funk, latin, and hip-hop. Hailing from Telluride, Colorado, Niceness is rooted in the traditional sounds of island reggae; seamlessly integrating elements of soul, funk, latin and hip-hop while staying true to their authentic reggae vibes. Their lyrics embody a conscious message rarely found in this day and age, centrally focused on love, personal responsibility, interdependence, and sustainability. Niceness plays at the Public House on Saturday, May 26. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased on line at mountainrootsfoodproject.org or in person at Rumors and Doubleshot. Tickets to this Rocky Mountain Roots Reggae show are FREE with a subscription to a new sustaining membership of just $8 a month or more. Doors open at 7 pm, show starts at 8. The Public House will be offering drink and dinner specials, and Mountain Roots will be raffling off tickets to four summer music festivals along with other great prizes.
