 Limited to 6 students, this class offers a rare opportunity to explore postural alignment through the lens of yoga kurunta — the "yoga of ropes" developed by B.K.S. Iyengar using suspended ropes anchored to the wall. Iyengar drew on the ancient practice of using natural supports like vines and tree limbs, formalizing it into a system of ropes anchored to wall hooks. Each session divides the group in two: three students work the pose sequence on the mat, refining alignment through traditional Iyengar cues and prop work, while the other three move through the same poses suspended in the wall ropes — using gravity and traction to access deeper opening, support, and structural feedback in the body. Partway through class, the groups switch, so everyone experiences both approaches to the same poses.
