 Get ready to rev up for the cause as the 30th Anniversary Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America visits Gunnison, CO on Sunday, May 3! Come out to greet NASCAR’s Kyle Petty and other celebrity riders – including Richard Petty, Matt Kenseth, Mike Helton, Clint Bowyer, Ken Schrader, Kenny Wallace, David Ragan, Rutledge Wood, Rick Allen and Bill Davidson – along their nine day cross country charity motorcycle ride. This year, the Ride is traveling more than 3,400 miles from California to North Carolina. Considered one of the most successful and popular charity rides in the country, the Ride raises funds and awareness for Victory Junction – a camp dedicated to providing life-changing camping experiences for children with chronic medical illnesses. Victory Junction has served as the Ride’s primary beneficiary since its establishment by Petty and his family in 2004 in honor of his late son, Adam. Since the Ride’s inception in 1995, more than 9,575 riders have logged nearly 13.3 million cumulative motorcycle miles and raised more than $23 million for Victory Junction and other children’s charities. Fans are encouraged to come support the cause and greet our Riders. Be sure to get there early to cheer on the Riders as they arrive. Kyle will arrive with 150 motorcycles and it’s quite the spectacle to see! Spectators may also purchase memorabilia (T-Shirts = $20; Hats = $20) or contribute to the Ride’s “Small Change. Big Impact.” program, which accepts donations at each stop. CASH OR CHECK ONLY! Fans are welcome to meet the celebrities for photos and autographs.
