 Destination Imagination Tuesdays & Thursdays, June 3rd- July 31st. Performances: August 1, at 6:00pm. Destination Imagination (DI) prepares kids to be the innovators of the future by combining the arts, sciences, and technology with creativity, teamwork, and problem solving. This non-profit organization is primarily run by volunteers. Teams from five to seven members from Elementary to High School levels work over the course of a few months to solve an open-ended Main Challenge and practice Instant Challenges. The most unique aspect to DI is that this program is participant-driven! There is absolutely no adult or outside help allowed. Team Managers are there to supervise, provide resources and teach skills, promote teamwork, and encourage creative problem-solving. Team members generate the ideas and bring them to life. The experience culminates in an 8-minute performance showcasing the team solution to the Main Challenge. The GAC will be piloting DI: Colorado’s summer experience to initiate engagement for the upcoming challenge season. This summer experience is brought to you by the GAC, a DI: Colorado alum, and a grant from DI: Colorado. www.dicolorado.com.
