 The third annual Mountain Words Literary Festival is Crested Butte's multi-day literary celebration at nine-thousand feet, featuring workshops, panel discussions, readings, live theatre, parties, children's events, film screenings, trivia, fine art book installations, open mic readings, mixology classes, and more. Welcoming 35 authors and presenters, including Cheryl Strayed, author of the #1 New York Times bestselling memoir Wild; Pushcart award-winning poet Kaveh Akbar, investigative reporter for the New Yorker, Rachel Monroe; and author of Billionaire Wilderness, Justin Ferrell. Programming in fiction, CNF, poetry, nature writing, playwrighting, publishing, editing, journalism, climate reporting, long-form, research, and more. May 25 - 29 in downtown Crested Butte.
