May is preservation month, and the Crested Butte Museum is celebrating by hosting a history at home series where we invite 5 different speakers to discuss the process of preserving our natural lands, buildings, districts, and environmental spaces every Tuesday at 6pm. Among the series, we have the following speakers discussing the topics listed below: May 3: Crested Butte Land Trust with the historic preservation on mining claims and building, restoration of Peanut Lake, and Peanut Mine May 10: Bozar with Jessie on the historic preservation in Crested Butte, focusing on the historic district May 17: Barbara and Gene Mason on the preservation of the building where The Eldo currently is, along with other buildings in the area. May 24: Benjamin Somrak with his historic preservation on a building in Crested Butte.
