 Cell Phone Photography ~ (Ages 12 - 15) Thursdays 4:30 - 6:00pm. October 28 - November 18. Do you want to learn to “think like a photographer”? Join us on Thursday afternoons this fall to explore our community through photography! The main goal of this course is to learn how to use cameras as a tool of expression in a visually interesting way. Over the four weeks, students will be encouraged to document what is most meaningful to them, starting with their personal experiences and expanding to the larger community. While some class time will be spent covering technical aspects of cinematography, the usage of smartphones in this course is intended to simplify documentary photography to its most basic essence. We will spend time in class discussing theoretical and methodological approaches to photography, viewing examples from photographers, going on walks to shoot with our phones, as well as showcasing and discussing the photos students bring into class to share. Instructors: Morgan Raspanti & Jacob Spetzler. $35/student, $29.75/members.
