Gothic Mountain Tour

Location: Crested Butte Nordic Center
Details: The Gothic Mountain Tour is a minimally supported backcountry ski race from Mt. Crested Butte to Gothic, up and over Top of the World, finishing at the Magic Meadows Yurt in the Slate River Valley. 22 miles long and 5000 vertical feet, this is a race for the well prepared. Racers must have a high level of physical fitness, experience in winter backcountry, and the necessary equipment to survive in strenuous to potentially life-threatening conditions. It is equally gorgeous however: the stunning views and rugged terrain make it beautiful and rewarding.
