During his tenure as US Attorney he achieved multi-billion dollar victories on issues of misconduct by financial institutions and mortgage lenders during the Great Recession and for fraud by pharmaceutical companies. He was also intimately involved in issues between the State and the federal government on marijuana enforcement. He served as Chair of the the Attorney General’s Advisory Committee which to serves as the voice of the United States Attorneys and to advise the Attorney General on policy, management and operational issues impacting the offices of the United States Attorneys. Upon his resignation, the Department of Justice praised Walsh for concluding “the largest federal penalty cases in Colorado’s history, collecting literally billions of dollars on behalf of American taxpayers and the United States Treasury.” Click here for the event website |
