Globular Clusters: Relics of the Early Universe Whether you describe them as “diamonds on black velvet” or “sparkly dust-bunnies”, globular clusters are an awesome sight through a telescope! Join local amateur astronomer Mike Brooks to learn about these ancient groups of stars and what they can tell us about the history of our galaxy. The Gunnison Valley Observatory is located at 2804 County Road 38 across from Hartman Rocks Recreation Area. Programs start at approximately 8:30 PM and are followed by viewing – weather permitting - of the amazing night sky through a variety of telescopes.
