 Unconventional classical pianist Alpin Hong executes his repertoire from Rachmaninoff to Gershwin like a rock star. With youthful vivacity, Alpin translates the history, importance and validity of the classical piano arising from a deep understanding and love of his art. Armed with a Masters from the Julliard School of Music, Alpin flaunts technical prowess on even the most strenuous pieces, wooing fans with his stunning technique, emotional range and rare humor. His excitement is contagious. Alpin makes classical music hip. In this community collaborative concert, Alpin is accompanied by a performance from the Crested Butte School of Dance.
