Presented by gO Orthopedics, this series encourages competitors to gO Ride every Wednesday with a FREE regional recreational racing series at Evolution Bike Park. Created in 1998 by Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR), the popular race series is geared for fun and competitn, from beginner to expert riders. The race tracks consist of varying lengths and difficulty to challenge riders of all abilities in Enduro and Downhill disciplines. A short cross country loop (Up and Away to Downtime) is also available for 12 and Under XC racers. Competitors also enjoy a FREE post-ride awards party after each race with free food, a cold LandShark Lager, and raffle prizes at Butte 66. A complimentary twilight ticket is available for racers who do not have a season pass to Evolution Bike Park. Races take place on Wednesday evenings at 5:45 PM, with Registration from 4:30-5:15 PM at Butte 66. A Youth Pump Track lap race will be offered for kids ages 6 and under at 5:15pm in the Base Area. The Youth Pump Track is designed to give children the opportunity to compete like their parents in a positive and fun environment. New this year, the Bike Week Pinnacle Race will be held during the first race on June 20th. The Bike Week Pinnacle Race will only feature the Westside to Happy Hour enduro style trail, with post-race awards taking place in the town of Crested Butte at the Bike Week Headquarters. Due to the revised format for the Bike Week Pinnacle Race, registration will take place at Butte 66 on the mountain from 1 PM to 2 PM on June 20th and Racing will start at 2:30 PM. The regularly scheduled Pinnacle race start time at 5:45 PM will begin on June 27, and run through July 11, 18, and 25, with one weather day on August 1st.
