Cost: $175 + $50 materials fee

Students learn about the many different ways clay can be used to create art, including both hand building and wheel throwing. They explore the influence of touch through hand building and the beauty that can be created through simple slab artwork. Students also work through the basics of throwing on the wheel, including centering and creating a uniformed shape on the wheel. Finally students will learn basic skills of how to successfully glaze pottery.
