 Opening at Gunnison's First Friday ArtWalk & Music Friday, February 4, 5 - 7 pm Show Dates: February 4 - 25 Tredway Gallery: “Namibia: Life in the Desert” by Marv Weidner In the summer of 2021, Marv Weidner left on a safari to Namibia and Tanzania. This photo exhibit will illuminate for our Valley, the incredibly resilient people, wildlife, and environment that thrive in Namibia, one of the driest and least populated nations on Earth. In Namibia, desert-adapted Rhino’s, Elephants, Giraffe and many other species thrive because of a national strategy that involves local people in the protection and wellbeing of their wildlife. Ancient cultures, such as the Himba Tribe, have been present for 6,000+ years. Come see and learn about this amazing place! Main Gallery: “Dragonhearts” Gunnison Middle School Exhibit Back for its second year, we’ve engaged the incredibly creative minds of the middle school shop class to bring you a collaboration with local artist Enid Holden, and beloved teacher, Brian Sutphin. “Celebrate Valentines with the ferocity of the dragon, the passion of flame, and the love residing in the poetic word.”
