Details: During the holiday season, Crested Butte Film Festival is pleased to present five nights of films for your winter enjoyment. On Thursday, December 19th, as part of its monthly film series, CBFF sets sail with the first-ever, all female crew to race the world's most dangerous yachting race, The Whitbread Round The World Race. Join us for Maiden, 7:30pm at the Center for the Arts. December 29th through January 1st, join Crested Butte Film Festival for its first ever, Winterfest - four nights of films to round out the year and bring you excitedly into 2020. On Sunday, December 29th, the incomparable Warren Miller brings his 70th film to town, with Timeless. Follow the world's best skiers and riders down the slopes of Austria, Switzerland, France, British Columbia, and even Colorado's Silverton and Eldora mountains. Kick off your winter right with Warren Miller's Timeless. On Monday, December 30th, get ready for David Crosby: Remember My Name, named by Rolling Stone as one of the "best rock docs ever." Follow the life and turbulent times of David Crosby, founding member of the Byrds, and Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young for an unflinchingly honest, self-examination of the power, addictiveness and transformative nature of stardom and music. New Year's Eve, Tuesday, December 31st, brings the Outdoor Adventure Film Tour to town. Join us for a breathtaking evening of short films that take you into the wilds of Alaska, Montana, even Louisiana. Ski, ride, mountain bike, surf and even fly your way into thrilling backcountry adventures. You've had yours that day, now get stoked on others. Welcome to 2020! The Roaring Twenties are back again and what better way to kick them of than a night of short films with the "Best of Crested Butte Film Festival." Get a glimpse of what the film festival (Sept. 24 -27, 2020) is all about as CBFF brings you seven of its favorite scripted films from 2019. You'll see comedies and dramas from Crested Butte and around the world. Local filmmaker Mark Reeb in person with his award-winning film, Shucky Darn. Come celebrate the new year with Crested Butte Film Festival and kick the year off right. Showtimes for all Winterfest films are 7pm. All films take place in the old Center for the Arts.
