Gunnison Valley Calendar Is Your Source for Valley-Wide Events Listings

Gunnison Valley Calendar is a regional one-stop calendar where you can post your organization's events to a shared single website around the Gunnison Valley from Crested Butte to Gunnison.  The goal is to make posting events easy so that you don't have to submit to multiple calendars.  For Public Service Announcements with KBUT Community Radio, please submit your event two weeks in advance.

To expose your event details to a wider listening audience with more frequency, consider Underwriting at kbut.org.
Participants include:
  • KBUT Community Radio,
  • The Crested Butte/Mt. Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce,
  • The Crested Butte Creative District,
  • The Gunnison Country Chamber of Commerce and the
  • Gunnison-Crested Butte Tourism Association.
The Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Calendar website and calendar is generously hosted and supported at no charge by Thin Air Web, serving Crested Butte and beyond since 1998.

Hike Horse Park Ranch with HCCA
The Gunnison Public Lands Initiative Summer Series

Add to your calendar
Date: August 23, 8:30 am-3:30pm
Continues Until:
Location: Meet at CB 4-Way Stop
Details: Join Matt Reed from the High Country Conservation Advocates on a free, guided hike in Horse Ranch Park on August 23rd. The hike will start on the Dark Canyon trail and depart onto the Silver Basin Trail. The trail traverses around the western flanks of the Ruby Range and the Raggeds Wilderness with incredible views of the geological feature known as the Dyke. The proposed Horse Ranch Park Special Management area will provide additional protection to enhance the long-term recreational and conservation value of the area. Hike leaders will talk about what it will take to protect this special place and what you can do to help. We will meet at the CB 4-way stop at 8:30 a.m. to carpool to the trailhead. The distance round-trip will be approximately 6 miles and will be an in and out. We will be out until the afternoon, so please come prepared with hiking boots, water, lunch, sunscreen, rain gear, insect repellent, and anything else you may need. Group size will be limited to 10 in as we will cross into the Raggeds Wilderness area - so sign up before spots are filled! Please visit www.gunnisonpubliclands.org/events to register or for more information.
