GunnisonValleyCalendar.com Offers New Valley-Wide Events Listings

Several area organizations have teamed up to introduce a new regional events calendar known as GunnisonValleyCalendar.com. The goal is to make it easier to share upcoming events in the valley, from Crested Butte to Gunnison, through a single website, instead of having organizations post to multiple calendars. Consider underwriting to expose your event details to a wider listening audience with more frequency at kbut.org/underwriting.
Participants include:
  • KBUT Community Radio,
  • The Crested Butte/Mt. Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce,
  • The Crested Butte Creative District,
  • The Gunnison Country Chamber of Commerce and the
  • Gunnison-Crested Butte Tourism Association.
The Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Calendar website and calendar is generously hosted and supported at no charge by Thin Air Web, serving Crested Butte and beyond since 1998.

Continues Until:
Location: Gunnison Arts Center
Details: A Christmas Carol & A Cowboy’s Christmas Carol December 20 – 22. Doors 6:30, Curtain 7:00 pm. Turn Back the Dial Readers Theatre presents two Old Time Radio Theatre performances to get you in the spirit this December. A Christmas Carol: A mean-spirited, miserly old man named Ebenezer Scrooge learns the real meaning of family thanks to Christmas visits by three ghosts. Soon Scrooge grows close to his nephew’s sickly little son, Tiny Tim, only to find out that Tim may die soon. Scrooge then shows a glimmer of unaccustomed compassion that soon engulfs him and his family. A classic Christmas story first told in 1843. A Cowboy’s Christmas Carol: While young Johnny is running away from home on a cold Christmas Eve, he comes across lawman Britt Ponset (played on the 1950’s radio series by none other than Hollywood star Jimmy Stewart) who tells him the story of “Eben”, a tightfisted old rancher who was visited by ghosts on Christmas Eve. A heart-warming Old West tale that revolves around Dicken’s immortal classic. Adapted & directed for the Arts Center stage by Mike Callihan Tickets: $15/adults, $12/members, seniors & kids (12-).
