The Literary Arts Department welcomes writers, readers and anyone with a professional interest in literature to their monthly networking event. Make contacts, discuss your work, and make new friends. With invited speakers and a friendly atmosphere, it’s the perfect meeting place for writers, journalists, ferocious readers, book-sellers, publishers, illustrators and spoken-word artists. At the Public House. National Book Award Finalist and Hugo-Nebula Award winner Paolo Bacigalupi will kick off our September 25 Literary Salon! With invited speakers and a friendly atmosphere (and drinks!) it’s the perfect meeting place to learn, network, discuss your work, find inspiration and make new friends. We will discuss his evolution as a writer and the process of becoming a widely published and celebrated writer of short stories and books — along with his creative process and inspiration for his otherworldly content.
