Location: 850, Co Rd 49, Gunnison, CO 81230
Details: CORAL CREEK is a nationally acclaimed Americana / Newgrass band featuring the original music of Chris Thompson and Bill McKay (formerly of Leftover Salmon and Derek Trucks Band), delivering high-energy shows that appeal to audiences across the bluegrass, coutry-rock, blues and jamband spectrum. As a follow-up to the eponymous debut album that surfed the Americana Radio Charts for most of 2016, CORAL CREEK has reunited with producer Tim Carbone (of Railroad Earth) to produce yet another outstanding album (Free Dog, 2018) with all the lyrical imagery, tasteful harmonies and outstanding musicianship that you’ve come to expect from Colorado’s hottest up-and-coming Americana act. CORAL CREEK’s Free Dog will once again transport listeners from the heights of the Rocky Mountains to the sweet sands of the Caribbean Sea – hitting every honkytonk, bayou and beach bar along the way. Since forming in 2015, CORAL CREEK has performed on festival main stages, concert series and clubs across the US, Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean, sharing stages with distinguished artists including Sam Bush, Peter Rowan, Bill Nershi, Vince Herman, Tim Carbone, Luke Bulla, Andy Hall, Jeff Austin, Roosevelt Collier - members of The String Cheese Incident, Leftover Salmon, Railroad Earth, Greensky Bluegrass, Yonder Mountain String Band, The Infamous Stringdusters, Lyle Lovett Band, The Motet and other fine acts. CORAL CREEK is a rising tide in the swirling jamgras sea. Online at www.CoralCreek.net.
