 Indie rock group The Artisanals are chock full of Charleston, South Carolina’s latest music luminaries with sonic influences ranging from the dream-pop work of George Harrison to the stone-cold radio hits of bands like the Killers. Sporting 70’s style harmonies and songs that run stylistically from that of Tom Petty to Bruce Springsteen, The Artisanals touch on everything from anthemic choruses to acoustic interludes. Capitalizing on the often mystical and synchronous twists and turns the universe seems to throw them, they view their musician roles as modern-day shamans, taking the inspiration of life and giving it form through song. Front man Johnny Delaware was named “Singer-Songwriter of the Year” by the Charleston City Paperand the newly minted group has already shared the stage with global powerhouse Band of Horses and been featured in Huffington Post, Paste Magazine, PopMattersand more.
