 Marimba Workshop ~ (Ages 10+) Saturday, June 2. 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. Learn the uplifting music of Zimbabwe in this fun summer morning workshop taught by local troupe members from Marimba Mu Gomo (Marimba in the Mountains). The instruction will be tailored to all skill-levels. Get a chance to play all of the wooden instruments; soprano, tenor, baritone and bass while practicing chords and melodies as well as sticking patterns. The workshop will be held outside on the GAC courtyard (or inside, depending on weather). Please bring a hat, sunscreen, water and a small snack. The last 15 minutes of class will be a mini-performance for friends and family. Min. 5, max 12 students. Instructor: Barbara Haas $25/adults, $20/ages 18-.
