 "Another Round" is many things: a call for more drinks, the Danish entry for the Best International Film at the 93rd Academy Awards (April 25) and one of the most interesting films on the male, mid-life crisis ever conceived. It is also a celebration of life and a call-to-arms to live it. In the film, four friends, all high school teachers, test a theory that they will improve their lives by maintaining a constant level of alcohol in their blood. Sounds like trouble. The foursome easily slides into their new lifestyle after learning about a proposed scientific theory that states that the human body is naturally 0.05 percent deficient in alcohol. Could life be better if they make up the difference? Should they test the theory? Come see the results. Crested Butte Film Festival neither supports or condones such activities, but highly recommends this deep, entertaining, and life-affirming film starring the great actor Mads Mikkelsen.
