 89 percent of Southwest Colorado high school students perceive smoking cigarettes as risky but only 49 percent believe vaping e-cigarettes is risky. This discussion is designed to give adults and youth in the Gunnison community the knowledge to identify cultural trends and health effects of vaping, as well as the skills and resources need to have a conversations with youth about the use of electronic nicotine devices. Kyle Tibbett from Gunnison County Health & Human Services will lead this interactive discussion. Kyle is a Tobacco Health Educator and Adult Prevention Specialist and his presentation will cover the facts, trends, health effects, and marketing strategies related to vaping and e-cigarettes. This event is free and open to all.
