 Come see the award winning BANFF Film Ascending Afghanistan: Women Rising. The film follows the first female Afghan mountaineers on their journey to climb one of the country's highest peaks. Plus there will be a live Q&A with the current athletes on the team and a presentation from a guide about her experience working with the girls in Afghanistan this October. Proceeds from the event support Afghan Ascend, a nonprofit that empowers Afghan girls through mountaineering and who are helping them on their way to climb big mountains. |
